A sound bath is an immersive experience where instruments like crystal singing bowls, chimes, or gongs are played in a way that surrounds you with vibration and sound.
At Embody Through Yoga, we end every class with a mini sound bath and host full-length sound bath events where you can fully sink into the experience. The goal isn’t to do anything, but to allow your nervous system to relax and reset.

Here’s where it gets fascinating: sound actually impacts your brain and body on a physiological level.
• Brainwave Shifts: The tones and vibrations from instruments like crystal singing bowls can help shift your brain waves from fast-paced beta (alert, stressed) to slower alpha and theta waves (calm, meditative). This is the same state your brain enters during deep relaxation or right before sleep.
• Nervous System Reset: The vibrations activate your parasympathetic nervous system, your body’s “rest and digest” mode, helping lower heart rate, ease muscle tension, and reduce stress hormones.
